F/Y/I,  the 2005 Awareness Times piece dug up by you fellows in the Bio camp, is exactly the type of bribe journalism that I have frequently reported as thrown upon me by the Berewa camp – all to no avail.

After the goat blood-drinking voodoo ceremony against my candidacy at eve of the 2005 Makeni Convention (later described by an enterprising journalist as a conBention), I was kept out of the nominating and voting hall simply by the imposition of gangster tactics. The crudeness was so obvious and spread so widely and quickly nationwide by radio that Berewa and Kabbah were booed as their convoy reached Freetown and moved thru the city the next day.

Meanwhile, on the day before, my campaign team and I had returned to Freetown. I soon received an unsolicited phone call from a key diplomat in one of the main embassies in Freetown, advising me to take it easy and that his embassy had received a full report of the unholy crooked tactics used against me in Makeni and that appropriate action will be taken in response to their abuses. This was first inclining of the regime change that was to come in September 2007.

Next morning, I received a call from Hon. Ansu Kaikai, MP Pujehun, informing me to please keep my phone line open as SoloB (Berewa) would like to speak with me. Shortly thereafter, I received Berewa's call advising me that if I did not like what happened in Makeni I should go join the APC. He further advised that I should not team up with Charles Margai as published in the local press. I told him that I won't join the APC nor team up with Margai but will continue instead to support the SLPP. And that's exactly what I did until I quit that party on December 15, 2011.

In a matter of days after Makeni, I received a telephone call from Awareness Times asking me to pay for an advertisement they had just printed at the request of my campaign team two weeks or so earlier. I refused, arguing that the Awareness agreement with my team was for our advertisement to have been run during the convention and not after the conBention as it had absolutely no meaning after the event. Awareness Times got upset and wrote a nasty article saying ‘now we understood why no one nominated’ me at Makeni! It was just your typical childish trash.

The above-stated nasty article gave the Berewa camp the opportunity they were looking for. Soon, the Berewa camp hired six newspapers, including the Awareness Times, @ Le6,000,000 each, to go after me to spoil my name with lies, fiction, manufactured quotes, fake news, lie-lie bombardment and so forth while also publishing fake flattering news about Berewa to boost his victory chances. AT was later given a further Le18,000,000 to continue to do the same thing until the end of the 2007 election.

When someone in early 2006 drew my attention to a then-recent fraudulent article in AT about me that was wholly manufactured from thin air and full of fake quotes and insults, I stopped dealing with Blyden’s reporters and decided to give her a good effective dose of her own foul medicine. I soon started rebutting their lies with the facts in our local newspapers and in online journals and forums, point-for-point and tit-for-tat, with no let up whatsoever. I smashed up Blyden name in Cocorioko, local newspapers and established a website to give a full, accurate account of the Makeni gangsterism conBention and Blyden’s yuki-yuki journalism.

Soon, complete strangers joined me in exposing Blyden’s corrupt journalism. They attacked her personally, describing her face in detail, beginning with her broad, wide nose and eventually characterized Awareness Times as AWHORENESS TIMES practicing Gongorlee journalism.  Blyden tried to get a free pass from the onslaught by complaining to a visiting friend of mine from New York in an attempt to have him persuade me to stop my attacks. But her excuse was a dude, exactly of the type used to dupe gullible villagers: she claimed her reporters were responsible for the attacks, not her, the publisher. I rejected her excuse as foolish and that the publisher bares fully responsibility for whatever is published in his/her newspaper.

Soon after, Blyden stopped paying any attention to me but continued her pro-SLPP ‘sweet mut’ journalism until the heavily baggaged Bio showed up.

Blyden’s work in seeking to harm me from after the Makeni ConBention to Berewa’s defeat by Ernest Bai Koroma of the New APC was not for nothing. On Independence Anniversary 2007, Kabbah awarded Blyden some National Honor medal, probably for the extra length she went to try to damage me and boost Berewa. That gesture was of no avail, though, because regime change soon ousted the corrupt SLPP Administration! Today, Berewa and Kabbah are no longer friends.

I have noticed, however, that during the past year or so, Awareness Times’ reporting has much improved.  Since 2010, Blyden has turned her venom at Bio's poisonous record of public service.  unlike her attacks on me, no one has bribed her to expose Bio's killer, thieving background.  She is doing it because Bio's horrible background and vicious campaigned lies repulsed her standards.  I shall repost the anti-Bio editions here soonest.  Bio is a liability to Sierra Leone, his gullible tribal people including you fellows.  His presidential campaign has floated like a led ballon.

Those among you who speculated that if I had done certain things like paying school fees, etc. I could have done better, are merely part of the con game and persons who have no knowledge of my extensive generosity to your people.  In my experience, the showering by a non-tribesman of generosity to tribalists deep in African cultural values/traditions is like giving alcohol to alcoholics.  It will merely encourage them to continue their selfish, destructive ways.  Never again!
