Sorious Subjects Judiciary to Ridicule By Sylvia Olayinka Blyden Jul 4, 2012, 17:06 | | |
Since Sorious Samura perpetuated his Aljazeera scam on Sierra Leone, he has had willing allies in a section of the media fighting to give credibility to his timber rubbish. Even as at now, they have continued to make believe that the run-away Sorious Samura still has a reputation left inside Sierra Leone. This is in the vain hope that their readers are not intelligent. However, what has stunned many Sierra Leoneans is the interview given to one of these newspapers by Sorious Samura as published yesterday July 2nd 2012. According to Sorious Samura as quoted by that paper, indeed a Criminal Summons was prepared by Momoh Konte’s lawyers to be served on Sorious but it was, “at the last moment withheld on orders from above”. The fact is that legally, no person, from above (or below), has the right to with-hold a criminal summons that has been issued to be served on another person. So, if Sorious is saying what Premier News is quoting him to have said, that is a damaging indictment on integrity of the Sierra Leone Judiciary and justice system. Many journalists and court attendees witnessed live as Sorious Samura was served his Criminal Summons last Tuesday June 26th 2012. They had watched him flee from a bailiff the day before (Monday).
If someone is now having the barefaced cheek to say no summons was served on Sorious Samura, then the Judiciary has a lot of questions to answer. I hope that is not the case. This newspaper will be gravely perturbed if it turns out the service of summons on Sorious was not recorded or logged down as a service by the bailiff who served him.
Meanwhile, whoever told Sorious that “orders from above” can withhold Criminal Summons from being served, just further exposed the poor O’ Levels holder to more mockery of his ill grasp of issues. No ‘above’ authority has such powers in Sierra Leone. Even the Attorney-General does not have the powers to issue a nolle prosequi until AFTER the summons has been served and the proceedings have commenced. Let’s wait to hear what the Judiciary has to say about this ‘orders from above’ latest Sorious ridiculous nonsense.
Meanwhile, on Page 8 today is reproduced our transcript of what happened in Court this week. It speaks for itself about strength of the ACC’s case. It also speaks much, of Sorious Samura’s credibility.Talking about Sorious’ credibility, I disagree with the learned ACC Commissioner on this issue. Sorious is not a brave or courageous patriot. NO!
Sorious is just a cowardly fellow who tried to destroy the image of my country in a poorly executed hatchet job. When he has been exposed, he simply ran. He ran like a coward. He is certainly not a courageous patriot. He is a cowardly, deceitful man, putting on a brave face on the disorientating reality of his ongoing disgrace.

| What is wrong with this woman who claimed to be a "journalist" ? Is the job of a journalist not to seek the truth and publish same for the public to decide ? What's her beef with investigative journalism ? I really don't know why anyone continue to take this ADVOCATE seriously. She stopped being a journalist a long time ago to assume the role of an ADVOCATE for the highest bidder. So please, from now on her blog which is not a newspaper should be called the ADVOCATE. |

| When I first encountered her she was an appologist for Foday Sankoh and the RUF, and later for JPK and the anarchist AFRC. She has since assumed Tejan Kabbah colors, Solomon Berewa colors and now EBK. The SLPP is far more tolerant and therefore she and John Leigh can get away with SLPP bashing for what they misguidedly assume will be personal gain, courtesy of the APC. They are in for the shock of their lives. The APC have an elephant memory, never, ever forgives, and remember even slights that never happened. Just look into their hatred for the NPRC, and especially any Mendes who were affiliated with the NPRC and only because the NPRC ended their quarter century dictatiorship. |

What new multi-party APC are you talking about? Is this how EBK sold APC to your gullible self? Pitty!
I ask you again:
When did you realise that APC had become a reformed party and what reformed measures have the party implemented?
You can keep docking those vital questions for as long as you like, but they will continue to haunt you! |

Boy oh boy! Some of you fellows are complete dumborhinos! No wonder SLPP is still attacking the APC of President Momoh, Vice President Banya and Cabinet Minister Dr. Abass Bundu that no longer exists. Imagine this folly: SL Problem People's entire campaign is concentrating on a non-target! What can be any dumber? In fact, Bundu and Banya are in the New Directions SLPP of experienced crooks, mostly from the Southeast who are lost in the wilderness of democratic competition.
The Old APC operated as the only legal party allowed to operate in the then one-party state. The New APC of EBK is only one of several parties operating under the 1991 multi-party democratic Constitution that the Strasser-Bio and the Johnny Paul Koroma-Foday Sankoh juntas suspended by killing people to steal public funds and capture their wives but which I helped restored in 1998.
My point here is that the multi-party New APC is functioning very differently from the one-party Old APC. But you guys don't get it. Your entire party is fixated on the Momoh APC. On the other hand, the New Directions SL Problem Party is merely a junior replica of the ousted Berewa continuity problem party whose hard-up crooked remnants now surround Bio, heavily panting for profits with his own set of crooks from junta days.
The people know this. The better class of non-Pa-O-Pa people of the Southeast are with the New Multi-party APC. Tiday far betteh pass yesterday. |

F/Y/I, after I resigned from the SLPP in December 2011, I took the next three months off to study SL political parties except the SLPP. That's when I learned about some of the great things EBK has accomplished for all of us and how different the multi-party APC is different from Momoh's.

| The APC is not multi-party, it is one party. That sounds dumb, stop repeating the same mistake. If you want to say it's inclusive, then fine, but multi-party it is not. Coalitions are multi-party, but not individual parties. Good grief. |

John Leigh,
Interesting. This means that for over four years you felt that Ernest Koroma and the APC were not competent enough to remain at the helm of state, hence you believed that you were a qualified alternative to Koroma.
However, after you collapsed on your face, receiving a disgraceful 2 votes in the SLPP FB race in 2011, you had time to ponder and seriously reassess the direction of Sierra Leone politics. It was only at this time that it dawned on you that you had seriously erred in thinking that Koroma and the APC were incompetent state custodians. And according to you, it took you only a three months to come to a conclusion that clearly contradicts what you have believed for over four years. Smart guy, this John Leigh. |

And that reply is suppose to explain what reform measures APC had put in place to qualify them - in your estimation as a reformed party?
Thank God the rank and file of the SLPP saw right through you and decided not to vote for you as their presidential candidate.
By so doing, they have saved mama salone from an impending disaster!

@JEL - to thine own self be true! Tiday betteh pass yesterday? A nor blame you, you dae US dae collect you welfare cheque. No country on earth TODAY will tell you that things are better today than they were yesterday, not even the USofA. You have joined the 'multi party APC(???????)' which is your given right, but please spare us the cock and bull story. Your job is so minimal; IB and Shekito would be peeing their pants just reading your jokes you call essays on the new 'multi-party APC'. The new converts are all over the country trying to win votes and support for their new party and you are in your 'study' writing stupidness when the actual voters are hungry.
Do us a favour - next week when you get your food stamps and your welfare cheque, send it to one of our 'tribes' in Salone (the juju area will drink red blood) instead of spending it on yourself and then you will know if 'today betteh pass yesterday'. Nonsense (as my Niger people go say) |

@Da Amborgin Pa, during the reign of the Old One-Party APC, I was living and learning my profession in the USA. At the time one-party government was the norm in Africa. As for Bio, I truly have no respect for his record. Worse, his campaign of wall-to-wall lies about his offensive public service record has made him personally a zero to me. Bio never helped SLPP. He fought SLPP and used junta power wantonly to torture and kill people, steal public funds and keep SLPP at bay. Then he wanted to go on to use junta power to keep power indefinitely for himself, underdeveloped as he was. However, by God's Grace, he was stopped in his tracts by popular resistance and by UK-Donor Nations' power. He was forced out.
As for SLPP, it was people like me that got it out of 30 years in the political wilderness and transformed it into a governing party. Even Dr. John Karefa-Smart said it. He said had I given him the support I gave Tejan Kabbah, he would have been the president, not Kabbah. By the way, what have you ever done for SLPP or for your latrineless village? Still hanging you a$$ in the bush when you visit? Be careful, typhoid is rife in your area.
@NUN, I don't have a job in the New Multi-Party APC. I am a lowly, very sorrowful refugee there but I prefer it that way. The New Multi-Party APC owes me nothing. I gave my ALL to SPP during my 35 years there. I have nothing more to give. I live on food stamps and welfare checks. So please don't ask me to share with you. What I get is not enough to my family, why should I give it to you, a supporter of a kleptocrat that brought endemic poverty to my little country? Bo, go sidum saful, munku boy.
@Fan of EBK, you keep on giving me unwanted advice. Why the persistence? You think I will ever take a dense tribalist like you seriously? I am and will remain in politics until you, Bio, Bundu, Banya, etc. Kaput and beyond.
@Crowd Control, if wishes were horses foolumunkus would ride. F/Y/I, all the people nearest me are in Cloud 9 with happiness.
@Malormo, please put yourself in an opposition candidate's competition position before you run your mouth. Understand that modern democracy is vastly superior to your native African Tribal Cultural Village Values. I knew all along that EBK was an improvement over Berewa/Kabbah. But when your foroeku party opted for brigadier Y-yo, I knew that was an end game for me. So I left and began looking for a new home, a refuge without knowing what the future held for me. Later, I found it in the New Multi-Party APC of President Koroma with his superior leadership. You, your elite and your suffering rank and file saw nothing. They were blinded by tribal opportunism and political sugar plums in the air. Each tribal rank and file sector voted for its own chief with the hope of tribal benefits later upon victory, based entirely on a selfish, favoristic diving-up of the national pie rather than building up the nation from whence African Tribal Cultural Village Values had deposited Mama Salone.
@???!!, the New Multi-Party APC is vastly different from the Old One-Party APC of Momoh, Bundu & Banya. Two different constitutions. You need not understand this dichotomy. A wise one once said that "if you do not know what it is, then the subject does not concern you". Please do not wallow or tarry in a place where your understanding is deficient.
@Fan of EBK. EBK did not sell his New Multi-Party APC to me at all. I discovered it and begged party leaders to allow me to apply for refuge status. They gladly, willingly accepted with zero fussiness, zero quibbles.
@2-Votes. The nation I am talking about is the nation being systematically built-up to world class status by the New Multi-Party APC of superior-than-Bio President Ernest B. Koroma. It is not the typhoid-racked latrineless, baegah-baegah, tiff-tiff 'nation' from which your 2-Vote Expellee fled from. It is the multi-party New APC nation that gave Mr. 2-Vote Expellee, Mr. Wan Vote Johnny a very lovely sanctuary, indeed.
@Johnny WanV, me dishonest, opportunistic? No way, Jose!. If I were dishonest, I would today be faking enthusiastic support for your despicable candidate instead of exposing his deceit, deception, duplicity and lie-lie. But am I? No.
If I were opportunistic I would not have resigned from SLPP for the above-stated reason, nor would I have enrolled in the New Multi-Party APC at the times I did. Instead, I would have waited until after the winner is declared in November before deciding where to pitch tent. Did I do so? No, I did not.
As it were, I quit SLPP and enrolled in the New Multi-Party APC during the period when Bio/SLPP were at the peak of their popularity and hopefulness for power. It was a period when every bozo in this forum and elsewhere was certain your tribal brother, Killer-Tiff-tiff Bio, would be our next president. He was at the height of being bequeathed with all kinds of a$$h0!ish honorifics such as President-in-Waiting, His Excellency Honorable, 'dis and dat', etc., while I was bearing the brunt of all your 2-Vote, Wan Vote kiddie jokes and insults.
Yes, yes, that's the period I choose to quit and seek sanctuary. The timing of my conduct speaks volumes of who I am. It is clear that I stick to my principles honestly regardless of the personal costs. I am not looking for personal profit in politics. I am a firm stickler for national advancement and a tribeless Sierra Leone free from leadership exploitation of the rank and file and also free of typhoid, of course, among other disgusting things commonplace today in your Stone Age village. Village Values my toenails! To @Lollipop and Anti-JEL Kamahjors, thank you most kindly for giving the correct education to those foolumunkus, arm-chair, rubbish tribal wannabe politicians. I have done SL politics openly and fearlessly in my name. I took it on the chin and still bouncing around. Let our forum jokers now try and do multi-party politics instead of hiding behind multiple monikers in cyberspace. |
