About two to three dozen Silly Lion Police (SLP) personnel were stationed across the street attempting to divert the crowd from See Akar Stewing Street onto an unimportant side street. In other words, the SLP wanted the SLPP off See Akar Stewing Street because it is the main road leading straight to Chancellor Honest Bai Koblo’s office at State Home.
The SLP action did not only incense the SLPP crowd but when the SLP saw the thousands of heads processing, the commander of the SLP that were deployed at the diversion post thought otherwise of standing in their way.
Come see commander speak briefly into walkie-talkie. You humans even if they paid you millions of Lion Shillings would never be able to tell what the SLP commander said. But since I am Ariogbo that knows all hears all sees all and says all, let me tell you busybody mortal man what the SLP commander said over his walkie-talkie.
“HQ. HQ. This is commander at See Akar Stewing Street. I am ordering a tactical withdrawal of all our personnel at this post because if we dare stand the ground even to jubilate with them, we would be trod underfoot and into the ground like common granat kanda! You know they do not appreciate our presence and it is best that we allow them to pass without incident. HQ, please respond. Over!”
But oh ya, after a series of no responses from the SLP headquarters, the commander was the first to leave the scene but not before telling his subordinates to hold the fort until he comes back with reinforcement! Come see how police were looking like frightened rabbits as the SLPP throng advanced. Come see how they began to wring their hands and some even started to shed tears like common babies as the SLPP large crowd of supporters advanced.
Try as they could, the SLP could not get the advancing SLPP crowd to divert their course. So when it became apparent they were not going to give in to the SLP hand signal to divert into a corner street, the SLP personnel just jumped into their vehicle, revved the engine and shot off like a stray bullet!
But that is not to suggest the SLP are cowards or that they were afraid of the large SLPP crowds. It is a testimony to the fact that the SLP have perfected the Exit Strategy they were taught at Police Training School! It is testimony to the fact that they paid very good attention to their tutors during practical and theoretical classes and training. Keep it up SLP!
But sef, why must anytime the SLPP want to use roads in the Free City, they must be told which roads to use and which not to use? Why is it that anytime the All Pussy Cats (APC) party wants to use the same roads in Free City, they are not told which roads to use and which not to use? This is not fair, oh. This is not good for democracy, transparency, equality, and all those other plenty names you humans have coined to describe the next election.
