Admin, why is the Forum always being disabled by the Webhost? Do you need financial contribution from Forumites to help with monthly payments? I am sure if all of us make even a dollar a month contribution we can help ameliorate the problem of constant shutdown!! Please shed some light as we are now family. As it stands I believe you pay 29 dollars a month to keep the Forum up and running. right?

I support the motion - we the contributors can chip in to get the forum running continuously.
Admin, please reveal to us what is behind the now frequent forum shutdown. If the problem is financial, then it can be easily fixed. Thanks.

Thanks for your concern. I think the proprietors of this fora can handle the running costs as they’ve done for almost ten years. Technical issues can also cause temporary shut down at any time, so I don’t think lack of payment was responsible for the shutdowns you mentioned. Once again, let’s continue to be thankful for the proprietors of this fine venue for providing a fair playground for all political views. Many doubted their pledge to keep this place independent but they’ve proved their critics wrong. Long live Bintu.

No one is suggesting that the forum shutdowns are due to financial reasons. The two forumites that posted before you simply wanted to know IF the forum shutdowns are a result of financial difficulties that the forum is facing. They also volunteered to help if necessary. It is left to the forum administration to declare if the forum needs financial help from contributors or not.

The term proprietor does not necessarily refer to the owner of a business. It can simply mean the owner of a property. So in that sense it is correct to refer to the owners of Bintumani as proprietors.

NOUN The owner of a business, or a holder of property. ‘Chinese restaurant proprietors’
‘by 1640 he was himself the proprietor of a three-hundred-acre tract’ Need i say more??

The Forum is not a property or business to be owned by someone. It is a virtual space online used by smart and munku people to engage each other in dialogue. It depends on how you see yourself

What is your point? You reproduced the dictionary definition of proprietor. Does it not define proprietor as: The owner of a business, or a holder of property. ? Do you understand the meaning of the English word, OR Lets assume you do. Does that not mean that a proprietor does not necessarily have to be an owner of a business and that a proprietor may well mean just a holder of a property? And since that is the case, does that not preclude Bintumani from being a business as you had wrongly presumed earlier? My goodness, why are some of these guys so stupid? I bet he is Tolongbo.
