After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

The last leg of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifying is upon us.  The tournament kicks off in June in Cairo, Egypt.  As usual, your participation in the forum competition is highly appreciation.  A total of twelve games will be played between Friday, March 22 and Monday, March 25.  So we open the competition with tomorrow's game:

Fri. March 22:   Botswana Vs  Angola

Although this match will be played in Gaborone, Botswana, Botswana is relatively unknown in African soccer.  Conversely, Angola have been in the thick of some of the epic battles for soccer supremacy on the continent.  One such battle saw the Palancas Negras eliminate the Super Eagles of Nigeria for a place in the 2006 World Cup in Germany.  After that World Cup, the Palancras Negras have had a declining fortune on the field.   With this information, It is time for your pick.

Thanks Footballer.

Count me in.

I am clueless about African football standings and hope to learn.

I hope Head Boy, DMK, Gahinteh (who boycotted the WC competition), Yusuf 008, Masoila, Nigeria in the semis (NITS), and others will participate.

Botswana 1    Angola 1

Botswana have already been eliminated.  But as hosts and for the sake of national pride, they will not go down in front of their fans.

For USA viewers, all games will be shown on  BEIN Sports (BNSPH).  Please check local listings for kick off time.
