On April 27th in 1961, my motherland Sierra Leone (lovingly nicknamed as Saro, by me) gained her "independence" from the British - the colonial masters she had for almost 200 years (155 years, to be exact).
Today's date is April 27, 2017. This makes her 56 years old in "independence" devoid of ruling political "interference" by Britain (really?). I therefore wish to extend happy birthday greetings to her, and her natives/nationals: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, MOTHER SARO. MAY THE GOOD LORD CONTINUE TO BLESS AND GUIDE YOU THROUGH THE YEARS IN THE FUTURE. LET THERE BE NO MORE TRIALS, TRIBULATIONS, & UPHEAVALS IN THAT NATION FOREVER MORE, AMEN. WE HAVE ALREADY SEEN A LOT OF THAT IN PAST YEARS. UPWARD MOBILITY INTO MODERNITY IN THE FUTURE IS WHAT I/WE PRAY FOR DEAR GOD. PLEASE GRANT US THAT PRIVILEDGE.

My Friends the inter changable APC and SLPP dominated politics in our resource laden nation for 56 years with NOTHING to show for it ..So it is quite clear that APC and SLPP are INCAPABLE of leading Sierra Leone into a brighter future! ..

So it is quite clear that APC and SLPP are INCAPABLE of leading Sierra Leone into a brighter future... by Abu Trump Well, Abu Trump, based on your observation, perhaps partisan politics is NOT the way our governance structure is supposed to be practiced in order to lead us into second world modernity at the very least. A few years back I theorized in "Oil ehn Wata", about a more sustainable mode of governance based on the diversity in our heterogeneous (tribal) nation. Please check the web address below, and determine if this theory might be of help in alleviating the concern you've expressed based on partisan politricks on many occasions on the Bintu. Please get back with us after that perusal. The web address is posted below for your convenience: https://bintumani.forumchitchat.com/post/oil-ehn-wata-5745953?highlight=sengbe

APC and SLPP are just aphorisms for Sierra Leoneans. These parties are not made up of aliens from outer space. Their membership are Sierra Leoneans. Their failure is therefore the failure of 'we the people'; and the main reason why we have failed is tribalism. Yet we are fortunate because we have a neat alignment of tribal geography and administrative jurisdictions (Districts). This is our way out. We must decentralize into a federation of fourteen autonomous District Administrations, along the line of States in the USA. We can fan out responsibilities for most of our basic needs to District Governments, and buy us time to evolve into Sierra Leoneans. I do not see another way out of the mess we have created.

Knice has spoken (again). Over to you, Abu Trump, if you are smart enough to beat Knice's consistent proposal about a more useful and practical governance structure in Sierra Leone. I am pessimistic about Abu Trump's return to this thread. Talk is indeed cheap.
