After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

Preliminary results so far show that 'mot mot' NGC will not win any district, not even Kambia, the home district of their messiah. On the other hand, C4C of Samuel Samsumana blew away the SLPP and the APC in Kono. Quite impressive.

Lolabi the Politician, according to NGC spokesman Julius Spencer, NGC is poised to win some parliamentary and council seats.

Samsumana was very astute in his approach. His campaign focused primarily on his home district, Kink using the sympathy generated from his illegal firing, to maximum benefit. Many Kono folks who never supported him in the past, felt the way he wyas treated was an insult to the Kono nation. So they rallied around him to teach APC a lesson. They delivered.

C4C is a district party. Their campaign strategy was not national but local. In many parts of the world, lots of parties used that strategy and it pays dividends.

There have been other Kono versions, like the parties led by late Abu Koroma and late PC Tamba Songo M’Briwa.

If the first round vote between The Brigadier and Dr. Kamara is close, C4C could be the Kingmaker. I suspect NGC will remain neutral.

Lolabi, a question for you and others.

Would NGC have had more seats in Kambia and adjacent districts if they used the C4C approach rather than a national campaign strategy?

I am not sure C4C did not use a national approach. They fielded parliamentary candidates in almost all the constituencies in the country. They also campaigned nationally. What separated C4C from the NGC was whereas the NGC was elitist, the C4C was not. For example, while the NGC was busy campaigning in America and the UK, C4C and other parties were on Okadas navigating Salone's landscape.
