*Letter of complaint on Political Intimidation and Voting Malpractices by APC in Constituency 070, Lunsar, Port Loko District*
It is with a heavy heart that I write this letter after the much touted general elections on March 7, 2018 to make these serious complaints and bring them to your notice and to that of the general public and election observers.
I believe your commission did a remarkable job but your efforts were deliberately thwarted by unscrupulous APC elements in Constituency 070, where I contested for the Parliamentary seat and I feel obliged to bring them to your notice because of their serious nature and potential to cast a shadow on the credibility of the elections.
I would endeavour to be brief as I list the following key issues in my complaint and would willingly provide more details on your response.
*1.* I have evidence that a total number of 2,235 uncollected voter ID cards were given to APC Executives members in constituecy 070. These voter ID cards were used to rig the election at all polling centers around the constituecy.
*2.* NEC Polling staff at polling center 10306 were asked by the APC Constituency 070 Chairman, Santigie Shilling Sesay to allow people with ordinary voter slips, even though those named were not in the books for constituecy 070, to vote and their names enterered manually at the back of the name ledger. This unscrupulous and wrongful procedure was approved by the NEC Officer.
*3.* The APC parliamentary candidate, Abdul Karim Koroma's nephew, Abdul Karim Koroma (AKK) was the Polling Center Manager (PCM) at polling center 10243, in Rogbaneh, where he refused ADP polling agents access to the center and he was known to have instigated an attack on them that caused them to run for their lives.
*4.* Polling materials and boxes from polling center 10243 were transported in a private vehicle owned by my APC opponent, Mr. Abdul Karim Koroma, AKA Shekito
In view of the above and other issues I would be more detailed on later, I want to call on your good office to look at this complaint with the seriousness it deserves and address the situation as soon as possible.
We are prepared to seek redress if we feel disatisfied with your action but we are hoping it will not get to that.
Looking forward to hearing from you at your earliest convenience.
Thank you very much.
