After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

I was elated to hear of this action by the Supreme Court in Kenya. This is more evidence of the encroachment of real democracy, respect for due process, and for the sanctity of checks and balances, into African political deliberations. Sierra Leone appears to be the lone holdout; the last refuge if you will, of primitive political discourse, thuggish tactics, and aspirations of tribal hegemony. Fortunately I believe wholeheartedly that this stance, propagated by a weak, scared, and ignorant minority, is bound to fail. LET FREEDOM REIGN!

Indeed, let freedom reign as Kenya sets a bright example for Africa.  Hopefully, tribal and regional hegemony are on their last legs in Sierra Leone.

Knice, how do you feel complaining about tribal hegemony with a  President that belongs to a minority tribe.

John,

Ernest Koroma's father was Temne.  His mother was Limba.  That makes Ernest Koroma a Temne.

But even if you try to disown EBK as you guys have started doing by pushing him into the Limba ethnicity, you still cannot argue that he comes from a minority tribe.

Limbas are not considered minorities in Sierra Leone.  They account for ten percent of the country's population.  That's a huge bloc in Sierra Leone, given that country's 7 million population.

This is a surprise to me because most, if not all, SLPP forumites believe EBK is half Limba and half Loko. According to them, A Temnes has never been elected president.

John,

When did you conduct a survey of all SLPP forumites to arrive at your conclusion?  And even if SLPP forumites felt that EBK was not Temne, does that make it the truth?

Ignorant minority does not  only refer to tribe. It can also refer  to the kleptocratic  and corrupt APC officials that are  destroying Sierra Leones future- building $million mansions whilst the average Sierra Leonean is struggling to survive.  They are sure a morally repugnant minority.

I wonder what the ethnic composition of the Supreme Court is and whether it had any correlation with how the judges voted.
Hehehe!

Any other questions?"
