BINTUMANI FORUM

After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

"The evidence is certainly available for you ...."  KL

KL,

Where is the evidence?  Why didn't you provide it?  Did you hear what the British High Commissioner, Guy Warrington said about President Bio and Sierra Leone at the last gathering of the President and the Diplomatic Community at Bintumani hotel?  Whose words should we believe?  The words of a nonentity and a miscreant Loggy or those of the highly respected diplomats through the British High Commissioner?

Do you know that if you were dressed in red at a function in Virginia and identified yourself as APC, Sierra Leoneans would be scared to ride an elevator with you?  They would be afraid that since you had a Gbose Gbose DNA, you would mug them of their money and jewelry.  That is the image that the APC has created for itself in the Sierra Leonean community everywhere.  Do I really need to tell you this?

Your SLPP have a moral duty to import millions of dollars worth of psychotropic drugs to get those crazy a$$ Kamajors back to their farms and become responsible citizens. I don't have time for foreigners to provide me with this evidence, it is there for all sober Sierra Leoneans to see.

KL,

Unless you are joking but to believe that Kamajors are still existing means that you really need some psychotropic drugs to have a good head on your shoulders.  Have you been listening to Gibril Bangura a lot?

Why would the SLPP need Kamajors when they are in full control of the military?

Man, you need to have a level head.  While you were working hard and making an honest living, Ernest Koroma and the APC were raiding Commercial Bank and pilfering funds that belonged to the tax payers.  Are these the Anyampis that you are supporting?  C'mon!!!

Shouldn't you be happy that your nieces and nephews in Sierra Leone are now being schooled tuition-free?  And that those studying the sciences at colleges also no longer have to pay a dime?

Man, you appear to still be living in the past, identifying with Ebola Sierra Leone. That Sierra Leone died in March last year.  The current Sierra Leone is the healthy Sierra Leone kicking ass in domestic and international affairs.  Come aboard like me.  I have paternal roots in the North, was NGC but I now fully identify myself with the emerging and progressive Sierra Leone.

And before I forget, we even have football now and my East End Lions are leading the premier league.

Hurray PAOPA!!!

You know, bro, the futile attempt to disguise Kamajor thugs of their true nature is like putting a lipstick on a pig. The Kamajor is alive and well and unlike you, the SLPP is literally in "control" of a military so diverse that the Kamajor is their tribal back-up plan in case all hell breaks loose. You and I know very well that the Sierra Leone military has made a name for itself for being the most untrustworthy.

I see there is no love lost between you and EBK and I feel the same too about him and the rest the bastards that were with him. But the truth of the matter is that there were SLPP operatives during the APC administration that shared the same red feather. Bio....? The man not only has blood in his hands but is guilty of thieving like a nation wrecker. But Sierra Leone, like many other African countries, is known for electing criminals as long as they are part of the same tribe. Ernest Koroma benefited from it and so is Bio.

And finally, just because an education is free does not make it better. I may be living is the past but like the saying goes, "those who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it". My only hope now is for Bio to have learned his lesson and prove me and many others wrong.

KL,

If Maada Bio did not need Kamajors when his party was in opposition why would he need them when his party is in power?  Is it difficult to deal with APC thugs?

Bio is a retired senior military officer who is highly regarded and respected in the military.  Additionally, he is the commander-in-chief of the military.  Is it a surprise that he won Wilberforce in the presidential elections?  Look, Bio understands the psyche and the mentality of the military, which explains why that institution will be more loyal to him that would have been with Ernest Koroma.

Bra, calling Bio a nation wrecker and a criminal is disingenuous.  Bio has never been convicted of a crime anywhere in the world.  You may speculate all you want but calling an innocent man a criminal is awkward and wrong.  Ernest Koroma's situation is different.  Not only has he been accused of wrong doing but an official of Sierra Leone Commercial bank has already testified at a Commission of Inquiry in Freetown that Ernest Koroma deliberately tried to rip Commercial Bank off by borrowing money that he never intended to pay back.

Lastly, you may not be in support of the free quality education program given that it exposes APC ineptitude and criminality.  But the majority of Sierra Leoneans adore it.  It is a break for the impoverished masses who were barely surviving under APC misrule.

Seriously, Bro! I stated in one of my responses that mad man Bio need the Kamajor for a back-up in case all hell breaks loose.

How well do you know Bio and how many individual soldiers do you know?
Not sure you know what you are talking about. Tribal politics exists in the military just as it exists in the general population. If the military can get rid of Momoh and Kabba, they can get rid of Bio if the situation occurs.

My friend, you don't have to be dishonest with me, but just be honest with yourself. Did Bio ever hold a job all the years he spent in the US with his family? Where did he get the money to sustain himself during all those years? Bra lef!!!

Finally, I have no idea why you keep telling me about Ernest Koroma and his thieving ways. I care less about him so I am not here to defend him.

KL,

Your notion of Kamajors is a fiction of your imagination.  You may have had too many Guinness/Beers than is necessary.  Lay off the bottle me man and go to church/mosque.

I may not know Bio too well but I know folks that are around him.  During the war he never supported the Kamajors.  He believed in the military, an institution that he had been a part of.  Moreover, as I have already said, Bio does not need Kamajors to flush out APC thugs making 'Bonga Raray man' in the East End of Freetown and in Makeni.

Kortor, the SLPP government has quite a good number of former military personnel that understand how to deal with urban violence and in case all hell breaks loose as you have opined.  Additionally, despite the tribalism that may exist in the military, there is a higher degree of professionalism there than you would find in the larger society.  When you join the army, you swear to be loyal to your country and to your commander-in-chief.  Notwithstanding this, Bra, military coups are things of the past.  You stage a coup these days you get isolated by the International Community and your Laimpay gets fried out until you are picked up for the ultimate journey to the ICC in the Hague.

Kortor, when Bio was in the United States, he had a scholarship from the United Nations, which was part of the deal that was worked out to allow the NPRC to handover power to a civilian government.  Moreover, his wife was gainfully employed.  Thus, the family was sustained.

Tell me, why do the Bio detractors keep harping on his employment situation after his NPRC days?  How many former heads of state do you know that have taken a 9 to 5 job after leaving office?  Why must Bio be different?  Bra, leave Bio alone.  The guy is a good guy.  You should be proud of the job that he is doing in your country.
