"Lecturers to strike again in polytechnics

It’s disgraceful for the government to lean that lecturers of the polytechnic are again to go on another strike action if their demands are not fulfilled by the government.

According to some few lectures who spoke to this reporter in Eastern Polytechnic  College in Kenema, told this medium that if their salary is not paid including their five months bankrupt they will hold out their services.

According to the lecturers, they have written a notice letter to the appropriate departments concerning such as the polytechnic council, ministry of education and among others institutions concerned in the tertiary departments in the country.

Meanwhile when contacted, the students union government referred to the act as unfortunate as the students are to take their final exams, mock finals and third term exams. Therefore they are calling on the immediate intervention of the government in order to put this situation under control as persistent strikes by lecturers will affect the academic activities of the students."
