Sierra Leone: Charles Margai back in government 30 minutes ago | 0 views
By Gibril Koroma
In the partial list of new cabinet ministers announced today by the current government, a name that will be discussed endlessly within and outside Sierra Leone is that of Mr. Charles Francis Margai (photo), the firebrand leader of the People’s Democratic Movement (PMDC).
Margai recently endorsed Julius Maada Bio, the leader of the ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) in the run-off election of March 31st, 2018.
This is the second time Margai, a private lawyer who has lived and worked in Sierra Leone all his life, is serving in an SLPP cabinet..He was Interior minister in 2002 in the SLPP government of the late Ahmed Tejan Kabbah. He was then a member of that party but this time he is serving as an outsider who, many people are already speculating, might rejoin the party of his father and uncle.
He is expected to shake up the judiciary and the general administration of justice in the country because of his no-nonsense record as a politician and human rights activist.
See below the list of the other ministers:

Salone Baby,
You stated in the past that Maada Bio will not win. He won. Now, you are predicting that he will be a one term President? You are wrong. Bio will be reelected in 2023. The cabinet list above has Themnes, Mandingoes, Creoles, and Konos. What do you want Bio to do? Appoint APC folks in his cabinet?
You should get used to Bio as president. He is going to be in State House for ten years, whether you like it or not. Your vote is not important to Bio.

"...Who are mostly Mende men..." Saro Baby SO!!! Are Mende men not S/Leoneans? Where were the other folks with the other tribal affiliations at when these so-called mostly Mende men were working their collective 'TAILS" off campaigning for Maada Bio to ELECTORAL VICTORY? Let Maada be a one-term President, as long his conscience is clear, and he does his level best for Saro, the peoples will decide, Lady Doomsday Soothsayer. Na wah oh, dis tribally-inclined Lady yah so!

"Who are mostly Mende men. Maada will be a one term president if he continues along these lines." E morna u? Go police. This is not a Tolongbo government, which turned janitors into cabinet ministers and tribal fanatics into policymakers.

Kaamor Sengbe, Tolongbo is a Temne word, which literally means to "go straight" or "go all the way," often without hesitation. The opposite of "Tolongbo" in Temne, is "Kallanneh," which means to return to a previous position, or go backward. Simply put, "Tolongbo" means to go "all the way," usually with confidence and without hesitation. If a Temne gives you direction and uses the word "Tolongbo," he would be suggesting that you keep going, without making a turn. Go all the way. Cheers, Kaamor Sengbe. Thank you very much indeed for the wisdom in that translation, Bra E. No thanks to the Temene borbor dem na the forum after my inquiry into the meaning of that Temene word previously. I guess they did not know how to explain the meaning of the word as you have explained it. Oh well!
