After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

It started with economic aid and now the Chinese, for the first time, are about to install their first military base and no place other than Africa. Their reasons:
"for peacekeeping and humanitarian aid in Africa and West Asia.It will also be used for military co-operation, navalxercises and rescue missions, Xinhua said."

The question though is if there is a hidden agenda. There are rumors among many African Critics of Chinese expansionism ranging from economic exploitation to finding a home for an exploding Chinese population. But whatever their motives are, what precautions should Africans take now to prevent the unforseen?
