After all, if every economic issue is framed as a struggle between a hard-working white middle class and undeserving minorities, then workers of all shades will be left fighting for scraps while the wealthy withdraw further into their private enclaves - Barack Obama

If nobody here can recall it, then you must all be real kids on this forum. Or you were not watching soccer in Sierra Leone. Even Eddie Grant, Specky, Spectator , KL , Moderator , etc ? Wow.

It was the memorable football match at Recre ( Now Brookfields Stadium ) in 1973 when the great Mighty Blackpool, the champions, were thrashed by Ports Authority 5-1.

The Nigerian soccer star then, Wasiu Sunmonu , scored three goals in that game and this music AON AON  had just come to Sierra Leone. The fans adapted the refrain of the music, "Ay Subudu, AON AON "into : "Ay, Sunmonu, AON AON."  You know how creative our people can be. In poda podas, taxis, clubs and  bars, the song became popular among Ports supporters. I believe MKK ,  if he is still alive ( Because he has just dropped out of the world ) will remember this.

By the way, somebody tell him I am back and I want to challenge his knowledge of Sierra Leone's history. I want to take him on.
