At Chatham House he talked about “my party’s philosophy”
From highfalutin theory to actual living practice on the ground or the implementation of his party's philosophy resulting in some people having to go six feet below the ground, what “my party’s philosophy” is the Brigadier Bio talking about?

Is Rtd. Brig. Bio’s SLPP philosophy the same as or in any way different from Albert Margai and Brigadier Lansana's in 1967 – when they placed the Queen's representative, the then Governor-General Sir Henry Josiah Lightfoot Boston under House arrest, because Prime Minister Albert Margai was not happy with the intelligence that he and his slpp had lost and our APC had won the elections?
So Margai called in his brother-in -law Lansana and told him to place the Governor-General under arrest and to declare martial Law. Lansana did as he was told, says that he was obeying orders from above, from Prime Minister Margai.
That was indeed the beginning of all of Sierra Leone’s problems up till today. For the first time in Africa, the opposition ( the APC) had won an election , but according to the rats in the military, this was not to be.
In the Guardian article which appears under his name Mr. Rtd. Coup d'etat Bio introduces himself with these words:
“I am the opposition's presidential candidate for next year's election, and in September, the national police intervened in a rally my party was holding. I was assaulted with stones and hospitalised. “ Leaving the innocent reader with the impression that it was the national police that led the assault....
At Chatham House too you notice that in his self-introduction he does not waste any time in telling everybody, not about any battle scars or people killed during his military career, but some ad misericordiam about his hospitalization:
“Let me first thank the Director of the Royal Institute of International Affairs for
inviting me to this forum. Since I am speaking to you for the first time, I want to
share with you my party’s philosophy.
Before I start, I would like to outline the very real threats that we, as a
campaigning opposition in an election year, face in Sierra Leone. In
September last year, I was stoned and hospitalised by government supporters
while attending a rally that was intended to launch my candidacy for the
elections.”
That's Maada Bio, formerly one of the underlings in Capitan Valentine Strasser's junta gang, talking, complaining that at one of his meetings, it was a crowded meeting alright and some unidentified person threw a pebble at him and the pebble hit his head as a result of which he was hospital-ized.
The brave brigadier is still crying about this, but not about the slaughter of the 29 innocents etc. etc.
Would he speak any differently if he were to be addressing the British House of Lords, or the American Congress or the Senate of Liberia?
That's his usual starting point, whether it's that article in the Guardian, or in Huffington Post, or addressing his august assembly of oyibos at Chatham House, or reading a paper at the International Economic Forum of Americas Annual Conference in Montreal, Canada, he is careful to not mention the extra-judicial & summary execution of 29 Sierra Leoneans, including a six month's pregnant mother, during his watch...
He does not mention any of these incidents either:
As I read oilman Bio's good boy speech at Montreal, that “West Africa is emerging as a stable, low-risk source of high-quality crude oil, confirming the region’s strategic value in the global oil market”, I thought about this news item Nigeria : Fuel subsidy 2.58 trillion naira...
In reading his other magnum opus “West Africa’s Emergence as Drug Transshipment Points: The Geopolitical and Strategic Implications” Rtd. Brigadier Bio does not give this as one of his stark examples – something that happened during the SLPP years when Scotland Yard hard to come in about the transportation of HEROIN in Sierra Leone’s High Commission to London's diplomatic bags..
Was it not during the SLPP's watch that this occurred :
