A Doctorate degree in any discipline is not a walk in the park. It requires dedication, discipline, hours of studying and research, and of course brains, to earn the honor. Such accomplishment deserves respect from especially someone like myself who is not as accomplished. I extend my heartfelt apologies to Dr. Kandeh Yumkella and his supporters, whom I hope will find room in their heart to forgive me. As for my Samaritan friend I extend my humble gratitude. A good Samaritan friend loved me enough to tell me that I was wrong about Dr. Yumkella's credentials and frankly, I am embarrassed. He told me that Kandeh Yumkella indeed earned a Doctorate in a challenging branch of economics at a premier university. My assertions regarding his credentials therefore were not only wrong, but amounted to a rush to conclusions which is immature and totally inexcusable.

I am floored, Knice. That was a class act. Support him or not, Yumkella is one of the most accomplished Sierra Leoneans of our times. I wish we had more of you in our body politic, which is infested with reckless bomb throwers and and an asinine commentariat. Nuff respect sir.

People like Sengbeh should take a leaf from Knice's book. Sengbeh owes Engineer Musa Kenema an unconditional apology for comparing him to a mechanic. Sengbeh knows very well that MK is an automotive engineer cum researcher who graduated from two world class universities. But only to discourage Sage from continuing with their relationship, he keeps on referring to MK as a motor mechanic which is as insulting as it is derogatory. He should know that in the engineering continuum the mechanic is way down while the engineer is way up and the two are poles apart. Making a Knice-like bold move will not only catapult Sengbeh to higher heights but also restore his battered image. So Sengbeh everyone is waiting.
